Staffordshire 'Information, Advice and Support Services' Review - SEND

Closed 31 Oct 2016

Opened 16 Aug 2016

We know that supporting a child/young person with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to live a happy, healthy, safe and fulfilling life can at times feel difficult.

Staffordshire County Council (SCC) has a statutory duty to provide high quality, impartial and confidential Information, Advice and Support Services (IASS) in relation to education, health and social care matters to:

  • Parents and carers of children and young people with SEND (aged 0-25 years old)
  • Children and young people with SEND, aged 0-25 years old

IASS  includes the provision of information about your rights, as either a child or young person with SEND or their parents and carers, and the roles and responsibilities of individuals and organisations involved in supporting children and young people with SEND.

Staffordshire currently delivers IASS to parents and carers only through the SEND Family Partnership (SSFP) - this survey will help form part of a review of this service.

Staffordshire does not currently have a single, easily identifiable service delivering this support to children and young people - this survey will help us to shape our future service.

We would be grateful if you could please take a moment to tell us your thoughts and experiences...
