Staffordshire County Council (SCC) is consulting on its updated Staffordshire Education Infrastructure Contributions Policy (SEICP). This document sets out the approach that SCC will take in identifying the impact of new residential development on education infrastructure and the necessary mitigation to make developments acceptable in planning terms. It provides the basis for determining likely educational contributions which enable indicative figures to be calculated.
This revised document includes policy updates from the latest NPPF, as well as guidance by the Department for Education (DfE) on calculating developer contributions. The policy also now includes Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and home to school transport provision.
