Overview

The Trading Standards Service aims to ensure a fair and safe trading environment within Staffordshire to protect the economic interests and well-being of consumers county-wide, and to allow our businesses to prosper.

We enforce a wide range of trading standards laws that help ensure consumers and traders receive a fair deal, including those relating to:

  • Consumer Credit
  • Consumer Safety
  • Copyright and Trademarks
  • Fair Trading (including pricing)
  • Food Safety
  • Petroleum and Explosives
  • Quality and Environment
  • Trade Descriptions
  • Under Age Sales
  • Weights and Measures

 

Why We Are Consulting

We are constantly striving to improve the quality of the service provided. Past surveys have provided important feedback regarding performance as well as generating many useful ideas to make improvements to the service, all responses remain anonymous.

This survey is sent every month to local businesses who had contacted Staffordshire Trading Standards for advice and assistance.

All information is handled confidentially and anonymously in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
